Watering the Seeds of SoulFebruary - July 2024/Thursdays, 1:00 - 3:00pm MT
We warmly invite you to join us in Watering the Seeds of Soul where we’ll be exploring the gates of grief and six elements of an apprenticeship with sorrow over 6-months. This is deep work, slow work, soul work, and we approach it with reverence, tenderness, and respect for the beauty and nourishment that can blossom when skillfully tended. With four 2-hour sessions each month, we’ll use embodiment practices, creativity, poetry, storytelling, ritual, and community-sharing to move through each of the gates and elements. Liberating Grief: Finding Freedom through Sorrow & Soul6 Sundays, March - April/1:00 - 3:00pm MT
This is an invitation for anyone grieving, for those who have been touched by loss, by systems of domination and oppression, and for people who hold the vision that bearing witness to grief in community is essential to our individual and collective healing.
Join us beginning in March for a three-month, two Sundays per month offering facilitated by Desiree Adaway and Holly Truhlar in which we’ll explore four Gates of Grief together, with a systemic analysis, a grief practice, and a liberation practice offered for each session.
While centering belonging and compassion, this offering directly applies an anti-oppression and liberation lens to grief work, understanding that people rarely heal in isolation. We gather to learn and honor the myriad ways grief can initiate us into a deeper relationship with joy, freedom, and with each other. Join us at: www.LiberatingGrief.com

Becoming People of Potency & Culture: Lineage & AncestorsSaturday, March 16th/2:00 - 4:00pm MT
To become people of potency and culture, we must cultivate a living connection to our Ancestors and Lineages. Ancestors include souls from our blood-lines, those who share our heritage and genetics; milk lines, those who cared for us and our beloveds; story lines, those who teach us; and feeling lines, those who share a similar felt sense or life experience as us. These can include deceased relatives, caregivers, authors, activists, other-than-human animals, plants, and places. Every one of us has a Lineage with blessings and challenges. Every one of us has Ancestors who want to support us, and many of them are waiting for us to remember them. When we remember our Ancestors, we regenerate our potency to reimagine collective futures that can benefit those to come.
In this 2-hour gathering we will deepen with our Lineages through embodiment practices, teachings, and creative prompts. There will be both personal and group reflection time. All are welcome. Please bring writing materials, candles, and lighters. Register at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/becoming-people-of-potency-culture-lineage-and-ancestors-tickets-810005687817?aff=oddtdtcreator

Soulful Life ConviviumApplications Re-Open in March 2024/Wednesdays, 1:30-3:00pm MT
This is an opportunity to work the rich loam of soul on an ongoing basis in a community of practice and care. We draw upon the wealth of materials our advisor, Francis Weller, has presented over the years. Over the past three years, in our network and live Convivium calls we’ve built a rich and deep communal web with connections all over the world. It’s a true house of belonging that’s soulful and sacred, a unique experience that’s co-held with compassion and reciprocity.
Each season we explore a theme through weekly zoom calls with our facilitation team, these include embodiment and creative practices, teaching, ritual, inquiry, and conversation. We also offer weekly practice prompts, select writings, and poetry in the Mighty Network. More information at https://soulfullife.mn.co/

Grief as Sanctuary: Fundraiser for Unashay in Abiquiu, New MexicoSaturday, April 20th/1:00 - 8:00pm MT
Dr. Bayo Akomolafe, Jessi Rado, Holly Truhlar and other Unashay Board members will be at the grief sanctuary to speak about the sorrows of the world and sanctuary spaces. The gathering will include an open teahouse, interactive conversing, song, and ritual. Buy fundraiser tickets at: https://givebutter.com/aAE56y
“The work of making sanctuary is the work of sitting with the troubling, the unsettled, the irruption of the unexpected. As home shifts beneath our feet, we will need more than just our convictions about right action and justice to meet the moment; we might need a new sense of groundedness. New feet altogether. We might need to take up the vocation of libating the ground as a cartography of exile. And what better to use for our libations than our tears?” —Dr. Bayo Akomolafe

Enter the Healing Ground: 3-day Grief Ritual in Lyons, ColoradoFriday, May 24th - Sunday, May 26th/Applications Open Now
Erin Geesaman Rabke, Carl Rabke, and Holly Truhlar will be co-facilitating this 3-day grief ritual. Our grief is meant to be shared and witnessed in village. In our time together, we’ll create a sudden village and warm our grief through writing, movement, song, and embodiment practices. Once the space is potentiated, we’ll deepen into ritual space as our grief is expressed at the altar and held by the village.
